,,Derdian'' este una din trupele de referinţă ale genului power metal. Formaţia a fost înfiinţată în anul 1998 la Milano. Deşi melodiile lor sunt bine primite de publicul european, în România sunt oarecum necunoscuţi publicului larg. Cunoscătorii genului îi apreciază, muzica lor fiind una de calitate iar versurile elaborate, lucrate.
Actuala componenţă a trupei ,,Derdian'' este următoarea: Joe Caggianelli-vocal, Salva- tobe, Marco Garau-clape, Marco Banfi -bass, Dario Radaelli- chitară, Enrico Pistolese-chitară. Părerea mea este că solistul vocal Caggianelli ar fi putut cânta la orice trupă ,,legendară'' din lume. Cu toate astea a rămas la ,,Derdian'' ducând mai departe munca începută în anul 1998.

Cei care ascultă muzică de mult timp pot sesiza o oarecare diferenţă chiar şi valorică între piesele ,,Derdian'':unele sunt excepţionale , altele mai modeste. Pentru dumneavoastră am ales melodia ,, Black rose'', poate una dintre cele mai bine primite de public piese ale trupei.
